Getting to grips with who’s around you and everyone’s reasons for being part of your campaign is going to make you a lot stronger.
Climate change is our generation’s issue, and when we make a stand, we do it for everyone, so we need to do the prep work to make the campaign create real change in your community.
The biggest change we see is going to be in our communities and it’s our friends, families and local people we want on our side.
We need to make climate change mean something to everyone on a real level, so discovering what makes up our local lives is very important.
Climate change is a massive issue and will mean something very different depending on where you live. It might be about recycling, wind farms, local food or cheaper public transport.
Whatever it is for you, you’re going to need a clear vision and a solid plan to make it all happen!
Turn a plan into action is always the most exciting (and trickiest!) part. Everyone needs to stay focused and feeling part of the team to keep the momentum of the campaign building and the vision a reality.
Ideas, energy and passion will be brimming and it’s great to see a plan come together in the fight for change.
Once one campaign is over, it’s really easy to go straight onto the next one! Before you do, it’s good to take a look at what the campaign achieved particularly thinking about what changed as a result of your action.
There are always things that worked well, and those that didn’t, so it’s good to learn from those when planning the next local action on climate change.
